Finding an osteopath

Using the search facility on the find an osteopath web site is very easy. The system is designed simply to allow you to search for an osteopath by set criteria, location, post code, name, or practice address.

To perform a search, first select a criteria from the list by clicking the radio button next to it. Next enter a corresponding search term in the text box beneath the criteria list. Then click 'Search Now!'.

Fix back ache etc with an osteopath......
This search facility allows you to search by partial terms. This is useful as there is unlikely to be an osteopath with exactly the same post code as you. To use this feature, just enter the first 2, 3 or 4 characters of your post code to find matches in your area. For example, if my full post code is 'SW19 9ZZ', I would type 'SW' or 'SW19' in to the search field to produce a greater range of results. The same logic can be applied to the name and GB Place criteria., or in fact the 'all' criteria.

When using the search there is always a little bit of experimentation required if you don't get the results you require immediately. Try entering surrounding post codes, towns or cities or counties.

Results will be displayed as a list and ordered according to your search criteria and the status of the osteopath. To find out more about osteopaths listed as results of your search click on the osteopath's name to view his/her web site.

Mouse Hover Instruction animationIn building this site we have tried to make features as intuitive as possible. To do this we have put details of what each field is used for in what are known as 'mouse overs' - If you hover your mouse (keep it still) above a text area, field, button, tick box or other form element you should get further information on its purpose that should prove useful to you. Try this first. We hope to update this help section in greater detail in the near future.

You will also find help dedicated to individual features available from links around the site or from the menu on this page (above, left).

With Gallery Magic you can share and catalogue your photos in albums whilst adding sound and text about each one. The gallery is great to commemorate events such as weddings or christenings, or perhaps you want to publish your portfolio online, or perhaps you just want to remind your friends what they did at the party last weekend. Protea.com allows travellers on their GAP year etc. to keep an online journal and communicate with friends and family from anywhere in the world.
