Oxford Osteopaths
Osteopathy has been around for approximately 130 years and has grown significantly world wide with millions of successful treatments per year across the world.
When your osteopath examines you, he / she will be looking at you as a whole person, they will plan a treatment program to work with you.
Osteopaths are musculo-skeletal specialists and work primarily on muscles, bones and ligaments in order to treat a wide range of conditions, many of which might surprise you. We are best known for helping people with back pain but this is really only a part of what we do. <
The Treatment
Osteopathic treament consists of gentle manipulation and stretching of the muscles, ligaments and joints. Treatment is not painful and rarely uncomfortable.
Conditions treated by Osteopaths
Osteopathic treatment can help many musculoskeletal conditions. These include the common aches and pains due to strains, falls and overuse, as well as the more long-term back and neck probems. It can often alleviate the problems associated with stress and tension including chronic headaches.
